Goals for 2015

I'm linking up with Andrea over at Momfessionals for Show & Tell Tuesdays.  Today is all about goals and resolutions for the new year.

I've never been one to make new year's resolutions.  Don't ask me why, just never really did it.  I do like making goals for myself and I like posting them here so I can keep myself accountable.  Also, don't ask me the difference between goals and resolutions.  Goals I do, resolutions I don't.  Just go with it :)

I decided this year is going to be broken into two parts.  I have some goals for myself and for our family, but let's be real, I am probably not going to be doing a whole lot of meal planning, family outings, working out, etc. with a newborn and two other littles.

My motto for part 1 is SURVIVE!  If you've had babies, you know those first weeks/months are all about survival.  I don't have expectations.  I just want to make sure all three kids are fed, happy and healthy.  Easy enough, right?  I do want to breastfeed for at least six months so that is one specific goal I guess.  And I also want to try to keep our house organized.  We'll see how that one goes :)

Sometimes taking a shower and getting dressed really does feel like you are super woman!

I'll talk more about part 2 later in the year, but it's going to include lots of improvements on me.  I truly believe that you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of your family and I feel like I have neglected this the last couple years.  I want to be a better mom and wife, but I think it has to start with working on me.  This is our last baby so I'm looking forward to getting myself back.  Physically, mentally and emotionally.  The last 4 1/2 years I have been either pregnant or breastfeeding for A LOT of that time.  I'm emotionally ready to move on to the next stage.  Done with the baby making stage and on to the enjoying our family, raising kids stage.  This pregnancy has taken a toll on me for sure.  I'm not trying to wish the time away, but it's hard not to count down the days when I feel so crummy.  I can't wait to meet our little girl and I'm excited to see what this year will bring!

  1. I always love that pinterest meme lol. Good luck with your goals! It's definitely a relief to know you are done with babies and move on to what's next! :)
