I see the light...

The light being Spring.  Warm weather.  Opening the windows.  Walks with the kids.  I can feel it coming people!

Sorry I am a slacker with the blog lately.  No excuse really, other than just not making time in my days to sit down and write.  Don't worry though, you're not missing out on anything exciting.  We haven't been up to much.

Dean and Erin came over this morning for a play date.  Kyla and Dean were so cute together.  It was the first time they really played and interacted with each other, without our prompting.  They were pushing the puppy in the stroller and the one with the stroller would try to "get" the other one.  They were running around and giggling.  It was so much fun to watch.  Kase skipped his morning nap.  I guess he didn't want to miss out on any fun!  And since he got up at 4:00 this morning, hopefully he will take a good afternoon nap!

Kase finally had his six month checkup on Monday.  I need to finish up his monthly post and get that published since he'll be seven months in less than two weeks.  Oops.  The doctor said he is perfect.  Growing like a champ.  Happy.  Interacting.  Right on track with everything.  He had to get a few shots, which he did great with.  His sister, on the other hand, she is not a fan of her little bro getting poked.  Tyler took her out of the room this time because last time she cried when she saw Kase cry.  Plus she'd much rather be out bothering the fish anyway :)

Waiting for the doctor to come in

She got lots of compliments on her giraffe ensemble :)

She decided she didn't need a nap before the appointment so of course she fell asleep five minutes before we got there.

I've been trying to workout every day.  I either do a class at the gym or walk/run on the treadmill downstairs.    Sometimes both when I'm feeling really motivated.  I just feel better when I workout, even if it's just a little bit.  I am one pound under what I was before I got pregnant with Kase.  But I'd like to lose about 6 more to be to my final goal weight.  My main area of concern is the belly though.  I really need to start doing more abs.  I think I still have the "Is she pregnant or just fat?" belly.  I'm hoping to get rid of some of that by summer.  But overall, I am happy, which is the most important part.

When we leave the gym, I let Kyla climb in the van on Kase's side and while I put him in, she always crawls to the front and "drives".
Kase is so close to being able to sit up on his own.  He just needs a little support.

I know his head size is in the 100th percentile, but I did not do him any justice with this camera angle.  Sorry, bud.
We're back to feeding him solids now that he's healthy.  He is definitely not into food as much as Kyla was.    Green beans are on the menu for tonight and then we'll try some fruits.  I think he'll like those much better.  Who doesn't :)

"What are you doing to me?"

"Maybe if I chew on my finger, I won't have to eat anymore of that other crap."

"All done?  About time!"
Like I said, you haven't really been missing much with me not blogging.  I have been working at the gym a little more than I'd like because someone quit and someone else is in the hospital so I've been helping out.  And before I blogged at night after the kids went to bed.  Now I am either on the treadmill or in bed by 8:30.  But hopefully it won't be another week before you hear from me again! :)

  2. Good for you on the working out every day!! As for the belly issue, after 2 c-sx's I can totally relate. I have noticed a HUGE difference since I started Pilates though. The core strengthening has toned up that area tremendously. Yay for Kase almost sitting up!! Once Joey reached that point, life got a little easier because he will sit for longer periods playing with something now. Is it spring yet? ; )

  5. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement?
My site has a lot of exclusive content I've either written myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my permission. Do you know any methods to help stop content from being ripped off? I'd genuinely appreciate
    it.
