The Good Things

I've mentioned Kyla's tantrums on Facebook, put her in a "Naughty" shirt, blogged about her timeouts.  But she really is a good girl.  Temper, yes.  But she really is a good listener.  When I tell her no, she listens.  When I ask her to pick something up, she picks it up.  And after all, she's a typical toddler.  Maybe a little feistier because of the red hair.  So I wanted to dedicate a whole post to all of the good great things about my favorite little girl.

1.  She's a mama's girl.  And I love it!  She wants my attention all day, every day.  But come 7:30 every night?  She is all snuggles.  Only wants Mama to brush her teeth and read to her.  I usually put her to bed as soon as we're done reading Goodnight Moon, but lately I've just been holding her and rocking her for awhile.  She loves to wrap her arms and legs around me and lay her head on my chest.  I am going to miss those moments when she grows up so I am taking full advantage of every second I can.

2.  She is so smart and loves to learn new things.  Although I haven't been sharing our Tot School activities much, she is always wanting to paint, read books, count, sing songs, etc.

3.  She loves to do crafts with me.  Our latest project was a little Santa.

4.  She loves to help me bake.  She is basically a professional stirrer :)

5.  She's hilarious.  Her facial expressions crack me up on a daily basis.  I have no idea where she gets this ;)

6.  She is the best big sister ever!  She loves to give Kase his nuk, cover him up with his blanket, put his hat on when we go outside, throw away his diapers, and rub his head and belly.

For the first couple of months it was like she didn't even really realize Kase was here.  But now she likes to always be talking to "Ace".

7.  She loves when I rub her back or play with her hair.  Yep, she's my daughter :)  This is pretty much the only time she sits still.  She gets mad when I stop.

8.  She's so cool she has to wear shades in the house!

9.  She is always coming up to me and giving me big hugs.  She says "awww" and pats me on the back.

Although she can be a stinker, she is the cutest and sweetest stinker I know!  I love her so much!

  3. such a sweet post. Even though they throw tantrums and are naughty, all the great things about them out weigh all the bad stuff. At least that's what I try to tell myself when my girls are acting naughty

  5. What a sweet, adorable big sister!
Snuggles are the best thing in the world. I'm going to miss those something fierce when my little man no longer wants to cuddle.
