Kyla's Christmas Wish List

I have a couple random lists laying around the house of things on Kyla's Christmas wish list so I thought I'd combine them here since people ask me and I can never remember.  She really doesn't need every day toys.  She has way too many already that she rarely plays with.  We don't need any baby toys either.  So most of these things will be for both of them, but it will be awhile yet before Kase can enjoy them.

Since Kyla's birthday is January 9th, this is her birthday wish list too.

1. Basketball hoop - they have parents who played basketball in college...this is a must! :)

 2. Red tricycle - they have princess ones, but I'd like a neutral color.  I think this will be the perfect size "bike" for Kyla for the summer.
 3. Sandbox - We'll be spending lots of time outside next summer and we really don't have much to play with outside.  I love this one with the little canopy thing.  We have no shade in our backyard so this would be nice.

4. Movies - Kyla only has one Mickey Mouse movie.  I'd like to add a few to her collection, maybe a few classic Disney movies.  I can't wait for the kids to be a little older and we can have movie nights on the weekends where we all curl up on the couch with popcorn.

5. Books - You can never have too many books in my mind.  I love the seasonal or holiday books to pull out at certain times of the year.

6.  Easel from Ikea - My mom has one of these double sided easels and Kyla loves it!  I think my aunt and uncle are going to get this for her since they live near Ikea.  It will be perfect to put down in the basement!
 7. Kitchen - We're hoping Santa will bring her a kitchen.  I really like the wooden KidKraft ones rather than a plastic one.  And they're really not that much more expensive.  Mrs. Claus is still trying to convince Santa that Kyla *needs* this kitchen ;)
They have a gender neutral red one, but it would totally clash with everything else in the basement.  I like this one and don't think it's *too* girly.
Well, I think that's all for now.  I already have a few things for both of their stockings and of course the Vtech laptop that Kyla got at Target.  I'm SO excited for Christmas this year.  I really want to decorate the house, but I think I'll hold off for a couple weeks.  This reminds me, I need to order a stocking for Kase to match ours.  To Pottery Barn Kids I go!

  1. I was just thinking yesterday how I want to put together a list and post on my blog. We just don't need any more toys! Your list looks great! We have that trike (at my parents) and the girls LOVE it! One will pedal while the other stands on the back for a ride. :) And, we had a great sandbox at our house in WI. The girls would just open the patio door and be out in the backyard for hours in there or on their swing.

  2. Love the list! Our Kidkraft kitchen just arrived yesterday :-) I got the pastel version. Haven't pulled it out of the box yet, but it feels really heavy! lol

My girls have a step 2 easel and it's a favorite toy still 2 years later. They also LOVE their sandbox and bikes! I bet they would be a big hit with Kyla too.

We do have a basketball hoop like that too, but it was a big bomb for us haha. Neither girl has any interest in it. Luckily my parents found it for about $5 used at a garage sale.

I love seeing everyone's xmas lists!

  3. I love seeing your list! Gives me some good ideas because we don't need anymore toys around these parts either, lol! We have that IKEA easel and if I had once complaint? It's not magnetic - I had a whole bunch of magnetic letters & numbers and we have nowhere to stick them. LOVE the b-ball hoop and trike ideas, might have to tell Santa ; ) And Kyla will love playing in that kitchen (I'm sure our boys will too down the road! That's where I got the idea for ours was at a friend's house who has 2 little boys and they can't get enough of it.)

Kaylee has that same tricycle at grandmas and she loves it. When we buy a house I want to get the girls a kitchen like that. We have a double sided easel and the girls love it!!

  7. We got that KidKraft kitchen for Christmas a couple years ago---the boys LOVE it and it holds up really well--watch Amazon, we got ours for around 100 during all the holiday deals! And that sandbox looks AWESOME!!!! Great list---looks like you have the same problem as us...birthdays and Christmas all at one time! It really adds up quickly although we try to keep things pretty simple:)
