Summer weekends are the best!

I hate Sunday nights knowing that Tyler has to go back to work the next day.  But he has all next week off.  We're going to enjoy the week just the three of us and I can't wait!  Well, except one day my mom and step dad are going to come up and help us finish up a few projects around the house before the baby comes (because they're awesome like that).  Tyler and I have started a list of things we want to do with Kyla.  So far on the list:  Zoo, a picnic, and swimming.

Yesterday I splurged and got myself a pedicure.  I think it was only my third pedicure ever.  It was nice.  I had to shut the massaging chair off because I was getting sick.  And to be honest, I can't stand them scrubbing my feet and filing my nails.  I hate the feeling.  The massaging of the legs felt nice.  I think I really just needed my nails cut and painted.  It would have saved me a lot of money too.  But it was nice to get out and treat myself.

After the pedicure I went to a local children's consignment store.  I was really just looking at books and toys or stuff for Tot School.  I was pretty disappointed in the store.  Not sure what I expected.  I've been wanting to check it out and it was another thing for me to do outside the house.

When I got home from my Mommy's day out, we went over to our neighbor's for a house warming party.  It was a lot of fun sitting around visiting with all our neighbors.  We definitely need to do that more often.  Tyler had to bring Kyla home for awhile because her eyes were running and itching like crazy and her nose was running.  This isn't the first time this has happened so we're worried she has allergies.  Tyler thinks she might be allergic to dogs because she was petting theirs.  We're going to mention it to the doctor when she goes for her 18 month checkup so we'll see.

Then last night Tyler and I rented The Hangover Part 2.  I wasn't very impressed.  It definitely wasn't funny like the first one.  I made it through without falling asleep, but didn't do much laughing.  I just love renting movies and curling up on the couch downstairs where it's nice and cool and watching movies together.  We don't get to spend a lot of time just the two of us.

Today we didn't do a whole lot, but yet I have tons of pictures to share.  We took Kyla for a walk in her new little buggy from Grandma.  She loves this thing!  She loves to steer and beep the horn.  It's so cute.

Beep beep!
We went to the park to play for awhile.  She must have worked hard on the ride over because she needed my water right away.

Not sure what this face was all about

Up and down the stairs, but she wouldn't go down the slide.  It was scorching hot so it's probably a good thing.

Such a big girl!

Queen of the castle!

She's a pro at using the railings to step down.

One of her favorite games...Daddy counts to 3 and then drops down.  She loves it.  As soon as he starts counting, she starts laughing :)

Come on Mom & Dad, I'm ready to go for a ride!

She likes playing with popsicle sticks, but now she loves to stick them in between her toes.  Silly girl

Another fun game with Daddy...she throws a ball and he scoops her down to the floor to pick it up.  And then she throws it again and they do it again.  Until Daddy gets tired :)

By the way, her chairs are on the couch because I just got done vacuuming.  I don't let her sit on them up there :)

Playing with her little kitchen

This is how she gets the shapes into the oven.

She loves to help water flowers.

Notice the puddle off to the right?  She likes to water the cement too :)

Fill my water can Mama!

Ahh, I love that girl.  And her Daddy!

  1. Looks like you guys had a fun day!!! Love all the pictures!

    1. Oh Amy, I forgot to tell you that your flowers look so pretty!

  2. Looks like you guys had a great weekend. Cute pictures

  3. Haha I totally thought when I saw that picture with her chairs on the couch.."oh she must have just vaccumed!" before I read your caption lol..must be a mom thing :)

  4. How fun....have a great week!!

I loved the flower watering pictures! :-)

Bummer about the consignment store. Although I will say we have like 4 in town by me, and only 1 is worth going to. They are really hit and miss.

  5. What a fun weekend!

You know, when you said what Kyla was going through at the neighbors, I wondered to myself, do they have a cat? Because that is the same way I get around anyone that has a cat or dog that sheds! I hope the doctor is able to let you know.

  6. We will be at the Zoo tomorrow! :)
