30 weeks and a very happy birthday

How far along?  30 weeks
Total weight gain: About 27 pounds :(
Sleep:  About the same as last week...not great, but I also know it can be worse.
Best moment this week:  Seeing family that I don't see often at my cousin's graduation party and having a good conversation with my Dad on the phone.  My dad was telling me about when I was born and said to make sure I go to the hospital as soon as I feel something.  My mom had me with nobody in the room because nobody believed her that I was coming.  And my aunt Linda's advice was "Don't piss around".  Both of their stories made me realize that it's better to go and be sent home than to have a baby in the car or elevator :)
Miss anything?  Being able to eat or drink whatever I want.  Yes, I know that sounds selfish, but I'm being honest.  Being pregnant and then breastfeeding is 100% worth it, but I think it's fair to feel a little selfish once in awhile too.
Movement:  Like usual, lots!
Food cravings:  Pretzel sticks dipped in Nutella and fresh fruit
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Last Thursday I was very sick.  It felt like bad morning sickness like I had during the first trimester.  I threw up my breakfast and Tyler had to come home from work.  And last night I made beef stroganoff and got nauseous while making it.  It was the combination of the beef broth and onion.  Needless to say, I didn't eat any for dinner after feeling like that.
Labor signs:  Thankfully, no.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Other than today and the day I was sick last week, I think I've been pretty happy.  I do think I have less patience with people lately though.
Looking forward to:  My 30 week checkup tomorrow.  Hearing the heartbeat never gets old.

Please say a prayer for my friend Bri who is 25 weeks pregnant and was just put on full bed rest.

Also, wishing Tyler a very happy birthday today!  He requested calzones for dinner and I planned on making brownies for dessert.  Well, he got neither.  Kyla was sick all day and literally would not let me leave the room without bawling.  So I was going to make dinner when he got home from work so he could take care of her, but he had to work really late.  So he had to settle for leftovers and Culver's ice cream.  And our poor girl is still not feeling well.  I took her to the doctor and they didn't find anything wrong.  She has had a fever and hasn't hardly eaten or drank anything since yesterday.  So I'm really hoping tomorrow she'll wake up feeling better and have an appetite.  I hate knowing she is in pain, but I don't know how to make it better :(

Happy birthday Ty!  Sorry you had to come home to an emotional, exhausted Mama and a sick, fussy baby.  We both love you so much!

  2. Sick babies are no fun! Hope she's better soon.

I hear ya on wishing you could eat or drink whatever. Every single time I got pregnant I started craving tuna sandwiches Lol. And since they say to keep an eye on tuna intake when pregnant I always just decided to avoid it altogether....of course then making me crave it even more! I think for one of the girls my mom made some and brought it to me in my hospital room after I delivered hahaha. Of course I couldn't care less about tuna any other time ;-)
