25 weeks pregnant

How far along?  25 weeks
Total weight gain:  Around 20 pounds.  I only gained 32 total with Kyla so I'm thinking it's going to be more than that.
Sleep:  Sleep hasn't been too bad this week.  I mean, I never really sleep well, but Kyla usually sleeps until 8:30-9:00 and I am able to take naps when she does most of the time.  So I really can't complain.
Best moment this week:  Well, I had an unexpected trip to the doctor on Monday.  Over the weekend I was in a lot of pain and have been having tons of pressure.  The kind of pressure I felt right before I went into labor with Kyla.  Well, it turns out I have started to dilate already.  Not enough to where we need to do anything right now, but enough for the doctor to give me strict orders to rest and call them if I start feeling anything.  I've been trying not to lift Kyla as much and really take it easy, but it's so hard!  But I know I need to really make the effort for this baby boy's sake.  It's too early for him to make his arrival into this world.  It's crazy how we (or at least I) count down the weeks until the baby is here and just can't wait.  Now I am praying that he stays in there for at least 11 more weeks and the contractions stay away.  So although this news wasn't great, the best moment this week was knowing that my doctors are amazing and are keeping a close eye on everything.  I feel very confident with them taking care of me.
Miss anything?  Being able to take Kyla on walks every day.  I'm supposed to stay off my feet as much as possible.  Since going to the doctor on Monday, I can feel a difference since I haven't been so active.  But it's hard because I want to get Kyla outside every day and I don't want to gain 50 pounds!
Movement:  Yes, he is still very active, which I love because I know he's doing well in there.  Tyler has been able to feel him moving a lot this week too.
Food cravings:  brownies (which Kyla and I made last weekend)
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Just the thought or smell of alcohol
Labor signs:  Unfortunately, yes
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I wouldn't really say happy or moody.  Mostly just worried and in pain.
Looking forward to:  Just taking it one week at a time.

  2. Praying for you girl! I am so glad to hear that since you have slowed down you have noticed a difference!!!

Don't worry about possibly gaining 50 lbs. You will lose it! Many women gain that, and if it makes you feel any better, I will probably be right there with you. I am gaining it fast this time!

  3. That little boy is being a stinker already! I always knew boys would be trouble ;-)

Stay put little guy! And don't feel bad if you have to spend 11 weeks with Kyla in from of the TV--you do what you gotta do and in the grand scheme of things it's not time at all!

  4. You know Amy you have amazing family members who will help you with Kyla. I am done in 2 weeks with school so I will be able to come over and help. And you have the best husband ever that will do anything for you and his children. Don't worry about the weight you will lose it after he is born.
