24 weeks pregnant

How far along?  24 weeks
Total weight gain:  Ugh, I don't really want to talk about it this week and I'm thinking I should remove this question altogether.  Let's just say I gained weight this week!
Sleep:  This week hasn't been great, but it could definitely be worse.  I go to bed pretty early and Kyla usually doesn't wake up until 8:30 so even if I don't sleep soundly, I get plenty of rest.
Best moment this week:  I had my 24 week checkup yesterday and got to hear his heartbeat (155).  That is the greatest sound ever!  I go back in a month and get to do the lovely glucose test.
Miss anything? Mountain Dew
Movement:  Yes, I swear the boy never sleeps.  And now I can barely sit because he is digging into me so bad.  I'm not sure what organ he's pressing up against, but the only way it doesn't hurt is to lay down.  Driving is absolutely miserable.
Food cravings:  I've been craving a big Chicken Caesar salad and I haven't got one yet.  Must get one soon!
Anything making you queasy or sick: Tyler thawed out some of his venison meat in the fridge on Sunday.  Just looking at it made me a little queasy.  Seeing my weight at the doctor's office also made me a little sick :)
Labor signs:  No, just still the same pains as last week.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy!  My headaches have been much better (knock on wood), I got my new van, had a great weekend and got to hear baby's heartbeat.  Life was good this week :)
Looking forward to:  We may have finally settled on a name.  I'm looking forward to calling him by this name, which we have already started to do.  Tyler wrote us a little note on our fridge board today that included me, Kyla and his name.  I got a huge smile on my face when I saw it so I think that's a good sign :)  And sorry, we won't be sharing the name ahead of time.

  1. That will be a nice surprise for all of us. I really want to wait till you have him to hear his name. So if I do ask you don't tell me. I want to be surprised!!!

  2. Amy, you look AMAZING! I look at you and think you must not be gaining anywhere except in your belly! Seriously!!

And, yay that you have a name picked out!! :)

Oh, and I wanted to share what one of my friends did so she could always have the heartbeat to listen to. The day of delivery, she took in a Build-A-Bear recording thing that goes inside the bear and pressed record when the nurse played the heartbeat. Then, after the baby was here, she went and picked out a bear to put it inside. She now has that for her little boy and now little girl! How cool is that?!?

  3. venison makes me queasy and I'm not pregnant.LOL
