23 weeks pregnant

I had Tyler also take a bare belly picture tonight and I got brave enough to post it.

Does anyone else think my belly looks huge for 23 weeks?  I am constantly telling Tyler that I already feel 9 months pregnant.  I'm already uncomfortable and just going for a short walk is brutal.  I have a very long summer ahead of me I'm afraid!

How far along?  23 weeks
Total weight gain:  About 15 pounds
Maternity Clothes?  Yes
Sleep:  It seems like lately I'll have one good night of sleep and then 2 or 3 bad nights.  Which means tonight should be a good one (knock on wood).
Best moment this week:  Thanks to Tyler's mom, we got a double stroller.  It is one of the few big things we needed so it's a good feeling to have that.  Thanks so much, Grandma Cheryl!
Miss anything? Yeah a few things, which I think I've mentioned all of them before...good sleep, no headaches, being able to shave my legs without pain, and being able to walk without a waddle :)
Movement:  I swear this little boy never sleeps (which makes me very nervous for the future).  I feel him move all day and night.  And last night I could see my stomach moving already.  I told Tyler today that I think I'm farther along than they think.  Or maybe this pregnancy is just way different.  Or maybe he's going to be almost 10 pounds like his daddy was.  Yikes!  I did not feel this much movement with Kyla this early.  It's crazy!
Food cravings:  Eggs with toast (Tyler makes some amazing scrambled eggs and has been spoiling me when I'm craving them at 9 at night)
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not really
Labor signs:  No, but feeling a little cramping and major "stretching" pains especially on my right side.
Happy or Moody most of the time:  I asked Tyler and he laughed.  He said I've been giddy about getting my new vehicle :)
Looking forward to:  Well, besides my new vehicle, which we're picking up tomorrow night, I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  Saturday we're going out to my step dad's farm with all of his family.  We are celebrating my uncle who passed away in January and also celebrating Gianna's 4th birthday with a Cinco de Mayo party!  It should be a lot of fun.  I need to remember to take pictures to share with you all!  And then Sunday I'm going to the dog tracks in Dubuque with mom, Brian, and my aunt, uncle and cousin.  It's going to be a great weekend!

  1. If you decide to try acupuncture, mention the trouble sleeping - it helps! I see a guy in Dodgeville.

  2. Brielle moved WAY more and earlier than Raya too. I'm not sure if I was just more aware the 2nd time a round or what, but I'm afraid to say in my case it was predictive of the future. Miss Raya is my cautious girl who never crawled, didn't walk until 14 months, etc...and Brielle is dancing on my tables! :-)

I think your belly is adorable! I actually did a post comparing my 24 week belly with Raya and Brielle (seriously, Brielle was so low!) ...you can check it out. Your belly is way cuter haha http://nopaparazziplease.blogspot.com/2010/09/24-weeks-belly-pics-brielle.html

  5. Your belly is sticking out! I love it!!!

You just get bigger w/each pregnancy and feel like you are further along. I have had so many people ask me if I am having twins - haha! And, I have been noticing too, that I can hardly go for walks already. I get cramps and feel so tired, and I am only 18 weeks! Yikes!

Yay for the new vehicle tonight!!!!!

  6. I love acupuncture and go twice a week. It helps with my massage and training for the Hermosa Beach Triathlon.
