An almost successful trip to IKEA

I was going to post this tomorrow night since I already posted tonight about our Tot School week, but I'm  just so excited to show you all some of stuff I got today.  But if you haven't read that yet, check it out here.

It's a good thing my sister in law is tiny and could fit up in there to get what we needed!  Thanks, Amber :)

And the Thirty-One Large Utility Totes came in handy since IKEA doesn't supply bags. Saved us $0.59 a bag :)  (Oh and if you love these as much as I do, check out my Facebook page here and join my group.  I love to give stuff away for free and give awesome deals).

Beware, the next picture might be the cutest damn thing you've ever seen!

Our new school table and chairs :)  She loves them already!
Shawna from Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! got this tunnel for her girls and I saw it today and thought Kyla would love it!  She was a little hesitant tonight, but Daddy pushed her through :)

I'm in love with the new rug!

I'm still coming up with ideas and moving things around, but here's our school/toy area as of right now.  I have a few things to hang on the walls (including some cute shelves I bought today), just not sure where I want them yet!

I also got all this cute stuff...

And here is a picture of what SHOULD be on the back wall to the left of the school area...

But we opened the box tonight to put it together and this is what we see on the very first piece...

Sweet huh?  I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they will do for us.  I am SO ticked!  I know we didn't do it ourselves because the box wasn't dented so I know the piece came like that.  But anyway, this is going to be great for toys and the top sections are going to be for my Tot School supplies that I don't want Kyla to get into.  I'm excited to get it put together and finally get all my crap organized!

Overall, I'd say it was a pretty successful trip.  We had a lot of fun!  Thanks Mom, Sharon and Amber!  And Kirsten too for meeting us for a little bit :)

  1. Amy, I love all the stuff you got on your trip!!!!! Super cute! (We have those same plates and love them.) Hope IKEA will somehow help you figure out what to do with that shelf, especially since I am sure you don't want to drive it back down there!
