Late night cravings

I'm only 10 weeks pregnant and my husband has already been so awesome.  Let me tell you some of the things he has done in the last few weeks at my request:

Just tonight we were watching the Badger game and there was an advertisement for Reese's peanut butter cups so he ran to the gas station and got me a king size.  Don't worry, I let him have one cup :)

At least twice now he has driven to Taco Bell past 9:00 at night for chicken quesadillas (it's about a 20 minute drive one way!).

He has run to the grocery store for milk and Ramen noodles several times.  The only thing I can drink right now is water and milk.  I go through a gallon of milk by myself in about 2 days.  And Ramen noodles are about the only thing I can keep down for lunch.

Tyler didn't do these things, but here are a couple other stupid things I've done:

Yesterday I made cupcakes.  I don't have any frosting and didn't want to go to the store so I've been eating them without any.  I still think they're good.  Tyler disagrees.  I made 24.  There are about 11 left.  Oops.

I drove all the way to Monona a few weeks ago (35 minute drive one way) to Taco John's because I NEEDED potato o'lays.  Kyla was sleeping in the truck so I said I wanted her to get a little extra nap in :)

I almost ate a whole big bag of Cheetos in one night.  And yes, I ended up throwing up later that night.  Lesson learned.

I sure hope this all passes soon.  The things I make for dinner for Kyla and Tyler, I can't eat.  I try a few bites and get sick.  But I sure can manage to eat 3 cupcakes in one sitting.  Ugh!

You know what?  I need to stop complaining about being sick.  I remember when we were trying to get pregnant with Kyla, it seemed like everyone was announcing they were pregnant.  Although I'd be happy for them, it was so hard.  I wanted to be pregnant.  When could we finally make an announcement?  The other night Tyler and I actually felt a little bad about announcing our pregnancy knowing there are probably people out there in the same situation we were in.  And we knew how hard it was.  Sure enough, a good friend of mine messaged me that night and said she'd like to chat because they were having issues and had been trying for awhile.  It made my heart sink.  I felt so bad.  She's so happy for us, but I know it's difficult too.  So I am saying an extra prayer every night for them.  They will be the best parents.  I hope this is the month!

So my lesson learned?  As much as being sick sucks while you're pregnant, there are many people that would LOVE to be sick like this if it meant they could be pregnant.

And now, here are a few pictures of my cutie patootie with a new outfit on today:

Shirt and jeggings from Target

The jeggings are 2T and are almost too tight.  She's skipping right over 24 month I guess.

She loves to carry things while she walks now.  Today it was our wedding album and pillows.

This is a ring that goes to one of her stacker toys.  She figured out how to put them on her fingers and thinks it's so cool.  Here she is touching her little thumb poking through :)

One of her other favorites lately.  The balls are meant to sit on top and then you hit them down into the maze then the ball goes through the maze and out the bottom.

She wasn't quite getting pushing the balls through so I gave her ping pong balls, which fit without having to push them down.  She LOVES it.  While I was cooking dinner, I could hear those ping pong balls going through the maze over and over and over!

Daddy thought she looked cute laying and getting her finger nails clipped.  She has one of Gianna's 2T shirts on now because she soaked the other shirt with water.
This morning we were doing puzzles.  I usually put the pieces in and she throws (yes, throws) them off.

But today she was actually interested in how to put them back in.

Her favorite is the circle so she always gives me the others.

And my proud Mommy moment of the day...she got the circle  back in it's place!  She did it a few times.  She kept pushing it around the area up there until it fell into place.  What a smart girl :)  She then tried to put the oval in the rectangle space, but I'm just happy she's getting the idea!
And now, it's time for me to go enjoy the drama on Teen Mom 2!

The real reason...

I have been such a slacker blogger...

...is because I have been sick.  Every day.  Morning.  Noon.  And night.  Not fun!

But it's all worth it, because...

That's right, baby Kattre is due August 28th!  We are beyond excited.  A little nervous too, but mostly excited.  Excited to be a family of four.  Excited for Kyla to be a big sister.  Excited to share all of our love with another precious child.  We also feel very blessed.  As you may or may not know, it took us quite a long time to get pregnant with Kyla.  And this time was completely stress free.  We are so thankful.

We will definitely find out the gender.  We did with Kyla too.  You guys know me, the girl that reads every single spoiler I can find about all my favorite shows, the girl that gives and opens Christmas presents early.  Did you really think I could go nine months without knowing?  Haha, never!  Luckily, Tyler wants to find out too.  And let's be real...I'm not a huge fan of all green and yellow stuff.  I like to plan and have everything perfect for the baby when he/she comes.
Tyler really wants a boy.  At first he thought it was a boy, now he thinks it's a girl.  I have a feeling we are going to have another girl.  I'd like a boy eventually, but since they will be so close, it will be nice for Kyla to have a sister too.  We will be able to find out in early April.  And don't worry, you will all know shortly after we do!  :-)

We will not, however, share the name.  Sorry!  I just don't want to hear people's reactions.  And if we're deciding between two, I don't want other people's opinions.  I want to choose what we like.  Not what other people like.  So that will be our one little surprise.

And now back to the crappy part...being sick!  Ugh!  I was really sick with Kyla too so this really shouldn't surprise me.  I can't decide if this time is worse or not.  It's just different because I was working last time and now I'm home, which is nice, but taking care of Kyla while sick is tough too.  I literally feel like I'm going to throw up all day long.  And a lot of times I do.  And along with being sick, I'm exhausted.  I would stay up until midnight before.  Reading blogs, blogging myself, reading all kinds of cool ideas for Tot School.  Oh yeah, Tot School?  We have still been doing it, I just haven't blogged about it.  Sorry!  I hope to get back to a weekly post on that.  But when Kyla goes to bed around 8:00, I am ready for bed.  I have absolutely no energy to blog.  There are many days that I don't even open the laptop at all.  So I do apologize for my updates being so scarce, but at least now I have a good excuse for all of you :)

I hope this sickness stuff will be ending within a couple of weeks and I will get back to normal (as much as possible anyway).

We told our families at Kyla's birthday party.  We went to change her out of her birthday outfit and she came back in this...

Of course nobody even noticed.  I finally had to say "Did everyone see Kyla's new shirt?"  It was hilarious.  The shirt, by the way, was made by Shawna (of course).  Check out her Etsy shop here.

Most of her birthday pictures ended up being in this shirt so that's why I didn't post a ton of her opening presents and stuff back when I blogged about the party.  I didn't plan that very well!

So that's my exciting news!  I can't wait to continue sharing all about my pregnancy, the baby, and being a mommy of two.  Yikes!

I love weekends!

Hey Strangers!

One of these days I'm going to get back to my every day blogging.  Promise!  I think since we had the holidays and then Kyla's birthday, now our lives are just so boring that I don't have much to talk about!

I'm really excited for our family day tomorrow.  I'm not sure exactly what we're going to do.  Probably just go into Madison and do some shopping.  Kyla's pretty good on clothes now that my mom bought her a bunch and we went through Gianna's old 24 month and 2T stuff.  Now I just need to pack away her 18 month stuff.  She's growing so fast!  I want to get her a few new toy-type things though.  Learning toys, of course.  There are some things I've been wanting to do with her, but just need a few new things.  And hopefully we'll go out for a late lunch after Kyla's nap too.  I think Olive Garden is just calling our name!  I love weekends when Tyler's home and we can just enjoy time as a family.

Now that the holidays are over and the new, Spring catalog is out, my Thirty-One business has picked up again.  I had a party today and have a few more booked for February.  If you haven't joined my Facebook group yet, now is the time to do it.  I have a bunch of my older inventory for sale at greatly discounted prices.  The link to my group page is:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/291258947568300/

My blogger friend, Nicole, over at Table For Four posted yesterday about the lunch tote she won from my page.  Check out her blog post here.  I do lots of giveaways and I think all she had to do to win this one was to leave a comment.  Sweet deal.

If anyone wants to see the new, Spring catalog, let me know and I'd be happy to mail you one.  We can even do a catalog party for your friends and family and you can earn free product!  I have a special right now for anyone that books a party (home or catalog).  Let me know if you're interested!

Speaking of blogger friends, I was cracking up at Shawna's post today.  Check it out here.  She's also a SAHM and got a "vacation day" today while her hubby stayed home with their two girls.  She negotiated her benefits package and got one day a month, all to herself!  She said how she really enjoyed her time out shopping, but of course missed the girls and was so happy to get home to them.  I was just thinking about that today at my Thirty-One party.  I was only gone for about 2 1/2 hours, but Kyla was napping for about 2 hours before I left so I felt like I hadn't seen her for a long time.  I missed her so much and my heart melted when I walked in the door and she came walking toward me with her arms open wide and a big smile on her face.  I love those moments!

Sorry, no pictures tonight.  Along with sucking at blogging, I've been just as bad about taking pictures.  I guess I've just been enjoying my days with Kyla.  I barely even open the laptop anymore.  Which is probably a good thing.  Just not so good for my loyal readers.

My little walker Part 2

This afternoon after Kyla's nap, I was going to turn Mickey Mouse on for her.  When I turned the TV on, Ellen just happened to be on with music playing while she danced on her show.  Kyla immediately started dancing!  It was so cute so I quickly tried to get my Bloggie out to get it on video.  Of course when I got it out, she stopped.  But I did get her walking so I figured I'd share that!

I don't know why it shows up so small.  Drives me nuts.

This is what happens every day.  My little clone follows me everywhere I go!

I gotta get a video of her dancing soon.  It's absolutely hilarious.  And with these videos, you get to also deal with my annoying commentary.  Sorry :-)

We still have Kyla's birthday balloon downstairs and tonight her and Tyler were playing with it.  She loves when he shakes it!  I thought this video was too cute not to share.  I know the balloon shaking is a little much, but Kyla just loves it!

My little walker

Kyla is so close to being a full time walker.  She still falls once in awhile, but she is totally cruising around the house!  I need to get a video of it to post!  But for today, I took a few cute pictures...

The bruise in the middle of the forehead is from "helping" Mom empty the dishwasher and still having those falls once in awhile :(

I remember the first day she started crawling and I couldn't believe it.  Now I really can't believe she's walking!  Watch out!

Basement reveal

Finally right?  Let me tell you, this basement project has been a LONG one.  But it was so worth it.  Tyler and I are so happy with it!  We sit down here almost every night after Kyla goes to bed.  We both have "our spots" on the couch :-)  Kyla loves to play down here too!

Here are a few before and after pictures.  I don't have any real before pictures from before construction started, but you get the idea!

Main living area

Back room going into laundry room, which I'm sure will eventually be full of toys

After (and yes, Kyla's birthday banner is still hanging up)

After (going the opposite direction - the closet just needs some shelving)

And our couch

My spot is the recliner on the right with the cupholders and Ty's is on the left :)
So, there you have it!  As you can tell, we are a Badger loving family!

And since you guys haven't seen pictures of Kyla in awhile, I'll leave you with what happens when Daddy feeds her (or lets her feed herself vegetables)...

Hope you all had a great weekend :-)

Quick Kyla updates

1.  Kyla can now get up the stairs!  She had never even attempted it before her birthday party and all of a sudden she started crawling right up like it was no problem at all.  We haven't attempted the going down part yet.

2.  She is SOOO close to walking!  She is walking the length of the living room now.  She still falls quite a bit, but is doing so awesome.

3.  She had her first fever ever tonight!  She's never had a fever with teething so I don't think that's it.  We gave her some Tylenol and it went down to 100.6 before she went to bed.  Of course I am a worry wart.  She's my first baby and it's her first fever!  I knew something was up because all she wanted to do all day was lay on my chest.  She slept on my chest on the couch for a good half hour and then I'd be sitting on the floor with her and she'd crawl up on my lap and lay her head on my chest.  Although I love that feeling, I knew she wasn't feeling well.  And she took a four hour nap today!  Hopefully tomorrow she will be back to her spunky self!

That's about all I have for tonight.  Nothing else too exciting going on.  Check out my Thirty-One Facebook group page:  http://www.facebook.com/groups/291258947568300/.  I will be doing a giveaway soon!

Hope you're all having a great week.  It's going to be freezing here the next couple of days so we're going to stay inside and snuggle!

Kyla's birthday party

Does anyone still read this thing?  I haven't posted in almost a week.  Wow.  I'm sorry.  We've had a busy week and I've just had no time/energy to blog.  Forgive me?  Ok, thanks!  :)

We had Kyla's birthday party today.  It was such a great time!  We also got to show off our newly finished and furnished basement.  I will post pictures of just the basement another day (when it's finally all cleaned up from the big bash today, haha).

My aunt Sharon brought her camera and was nice enough to take all kinds of pictures so I didn't have to worry about trying to capture every moment.  She took a ton, but I'm just going to post a few tonight.  I just got done cleaning up all the food and I'm sitting in my spot on the new couch downstairs, feet up, and ready to do absolutely nothing.

Unfortunately we didn't get many with her birthday outfit on because we ate pretty much right away and she needed to change.  But you all saw how cute it was in her professional pictures a few weeks ago!

My mom, grandma and nieces cut the banner out and tied it together with ribbon.  This is how it showed up at my house this morning...

But we fixed it and got it hung up :)

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Kyla's party today.  We had a great time!  A big thank you to my mom for ALL of her help!  And thanks to Aunt Sharon for bringing some food and taking all the pictures!  Kyla is a lucky little girl to have such an amazing family!  Even though she wasn't too interested in opening them, she will LOVE playing with all her new toys, books and puzzles.  And of course will look adorable in her new clothes!

I can't believe we just celebrated her first birthday.  What a great first year it's been!  I wish the Packers could have won and our party would have been perfect.  Kyla was basically begging to go to bed tonight.  She was one tired girl!
