What it's all about!

This is going to be short.  I'm exhausted and have a VERY sore throat so I'm going to go lay in bed and watch tv.  But I didn't want to miss my daily November thankful post.

I am so incredibly thankful for my family.  All of them.  They are all so wonderful all the time, but they have all been so supportive of my Thirty-One business and really helped me get started.  My aunt Sharon had a party for me tonight and my cousin Kirsten came home from college to see us.  Well, probably mostly Kyla :)  I don't usually take Kyla to my parties, but she had to see her aunt and uncle and Godmother.  She was such a good girl.  Thank you to my mom who also went to help out with Kyla.  And thank you to Kirsten who was a HUGE help.  And of course to Sharon for hosting the party!  And my uncle Mike for just being cool :)

I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family.  I am looking forward to seeing everyone at some point over the holidays.  Family really is what it's all about!

Quick, funny story from tonight.  My aunt has shaggy carpet.  Remember how much Kyla hates grass?  Well apparently the shaggy carpet reminds her of grass because she was not fond of it.  At all.  She wouldn't put her hands down on it.  She wouldn't crawl around unless she was on a blanket.  And then she'd get to the end of the blanket and stop.  Being the Momma's girl and all, she wanted to come to me so bad, but couldn't find a way to me without going on the carpet.  It was hilarious to watch her put a fingertip down and then raise both hands like the darn carpet was on fire or something.  Finally, by the end of the night, she was crawling around.  But it seriously took us being there for a few hours.  Such a silly girl!

Have a great weekend everyone!  I'm looking forward to resting up and getting healthy!

  1. We loved having you too! I'm glad it turned out to be such a great night. Kyla could not have been better, she is just so darn precious. Kirsten would not have given up an opportunity to see you guys. So glad we waited for vb to be done!
