Wordy Wednesday

I don't have anything exciting or clever to say today so I'm just going to do what I do best.  Make a list :)  A list of what's going on with us...

1.  The dry wall guys are currently downstairs making lots of noise working.  I think they plan on working today, tomorrow and Friday and hope to get it done.  That means we can paint this weekend.  YES!  The bad news?  Kyla DOES NOT like the noise.  At.all.  Holy cow, the girl freaks out every time they drill or screw (or whatever the heck they do with dry wall).  She cries and clings to me.  We had about an hour of that fun and then she was tired and needed a nap.  I tried putting her in her crib and she was hysterical.  So I laid with her in our bed (which I never do by the way).  I laid with her and sung to her and she calmed down and fell asleep (apparently my awful voice is better than the noise downstairs).  She ended up sleeping for 2 1/2 hours and the noise didn't wake her up once!  Unbelievable!  Now she's up and is a scaredy cat again.  I think they're almost done though :)

2.  I think we have another tooth coming in.

3.  I love watching Kyla feed herself finger foods.  She really is only eating her puffs and yogurt melts.  I tried a real banana.  She wouldn't pick it up.  I think because it was mushy and she didn't know what to do with it.  We had mixed vegetables a couple nights ago for dinner and I tried putting a pea and a piece of corn in her mouth.  She spit both of them out.  Either she just hated them or she was mad because she likes to feed herself.

4.  Have I ever told you how much I love going to Target?  I would go every day if I knew I wouldn't end up wasting money.  I can't help checking out the baby section every.single.time.  I also tend to stray over to the shoes, books and office supplies.  Kyla loves it too.  She loves to sit in the cart and look around.  She does not, however, like when people come up to us to tell us how cute she is.  A few weeks ago a group of about five people came up to her and were telling me how much they loved her red hair.  She started screaming!  Like a scream I've never heard before.  When I started walking away, she stopped.  Little stinker!

5.  Kyla decided I'm not allowed to leave the room.  Ever.  I leave to go to the bathroom and she does this new, fake little cry until I get back.  Silly girl.

6.  We were going to go to Lancaster today to visit my Grandma and Grandpa, but we have to stay home for the dry wallers.  My grandpa is in the nursing home there and isn't doing very well so I really want to go see him.  We will get there soon to see your new place Grandma, I promise!  We love you and Grandpa!

7.  I've been waiting for about a week to put Kyla in this outfit when we went to Lancaster, but I couldn't wait any longer so she's wearing it today.  How cute is this?

Belly is a little tight :)

And some new pj's...

She wouldn't look at me...Mickey Mouse was on!
