Tot School Wannabe

I am definitely not trying to wish Kyla's baby days away, but I have to say, I am SO excited to start Tot School with her. I have been reading so many blogs by moms who do Tot School with their tots and my ideas are already overflowing. Now I just have to wait for Kyla to be a little older. We are going to have so much fun!

Don't worry, it's not really school. It's basically just engaging tots in fun play that is exposing them to early learning skills. I won't get into it too much yet. I'm thinking I will officially start when Kyla turns one. Although I don't want her to grow up yet, I cannot wait to start these fun activities with her. She's going to love it (and so is Mommy)!

That gives me five months to collect some Tot School supplies, while hopefully not spending tons of money. I have my wish list started and plan on shopping the dollar section at Target to see what I can find.

I'm hoping that cute little niece of mine, Gianna, will come over once in awhile this fall when Grandpa can't babysit so I can plan some fun activities for us.

And now a few pictures of my rolling/scooting/backward crawling stinker...

Just hanging out under the coffee table

Don't mind me Mommy, I'm just busy being cute

Oh, Mommy's not paying attention...

Mmm, paper!

Mom took the newspaper away, but that's ok, I like her magazines better anyway!

Rolled on over to the TV stand

Hi everyone!  Thanks for reading Mommy's new blog!

  1. I love her hair! It rivals my nephew's red curls :-)

A fun idea for Tot School that I saw recently, that would work well for a real little one, was finger painting with baby food! You should try that!

  2. Thanks Shawna! We keep thinking her hair is going to change color, but not yet! She has two red headed cousins too.

Thank you so much for the finger paint idea! I cannot wait to try it. I thought she was too young to do most things, but this will be perfect! If you have any other ideas, please share :)
